Workshop Description
Introduction to Egg Tempera with Alina Gallo
This introductory egg tempera workshop will begin with a short presentation that over views the technique, the materials and pigments used and cross-cultural historical and contemporary examples of the painting style in the region. Workshop participants will create this specialized paint medium and learn the basics of a traditional glazing technique by first creating a simple still life painting. A connection will be made through art history and a play of the imagination, drawing and painting technique will be developed further to create a finished painting panel.
